We have a club of our own. This follows on in the success of Lichfield Dolphins Swim School. The reason why we have done this is that in the later stages of the development, the swimmer really should be length swimming and for a longer session.
Those swimmers that have the fundamentals of all four strokes will transfer over from the school and swim with the club. So, once your child has achieved SQUID (Stage 4) you will be asked to transfer over to the new sessions. Your child will still work towards LOBSTER (Stage 5), OCTOPUS (Stage 6) and DOLPHIN (Stage 7) but will be working in a longer lesson and along the length of the pool.
Lichfield Swimming Club was founded in 1968. It is now a club with around 100 swimmers, with ages ranging from 8 upwards. The Club prides itself on its competitive achievements and recruits new members on the understanding that they will represent the club at galas if selected. There is also a keen focus on the social aspects of membership in order to foster long-term relationships with the Club and to provide swimmers with a healthy and safe environment in which to develop their social skills. LSC is a friendly club and encourages swimmers to be the best they can be.
